Killarney volunteers, gathered at Daly’s SuperValue who were among the 5,500 volunteers who participated in this years the County Clean-Up day. Now in it’s 7th year. The initiative between KWD Recycling and Kerry County Council has seen thousands of bags collected along Kerry roads. Thousands of bags, gloves and litter pickers were distributed and men, women and children stuck to the task with great enthusiasm and dedication and the results are there for all to see. Now in its sixth year, the County Clean-Up, a group of volunteers gathered at SuperValu, Killarney and set off to cover the roads of Kerry. The County cleanup takes place with the support of Kerry County Council and KWD Recycling, has proven to be a wonderful community event in which people clean up their respective areas. In 2016 there was a great turn out of volunteers at Tralee Town Park to mark the launch of our County Clean Up Day. We had a selection of local Tidy Towns representatives, Kerry County Council members, Urban Council members, the Mayor of Tralee and two of our local TD’s who took time from their busy schedules to come and have their photographs taken.
